Brie's lack of ring training bothered me a bit. How was my "monster of love" going to behave on the table? Was she going to suffocate the judge with her puppy kisses? If not, how was she going to move - on two or on four legs..? It's not easy with a pup that loves life and everything in it. On the other hand, problems like this are no problems, only positive powers that need to be guided in the right direction.
The judge for the day was Ms. Anca Giura from Romania. A thorough but also good-humoured lady I liked a lot. Brie attended the class for puppies and Della the open one a few hours later.
Brie surprised me by behaving like she's never done anything but attending show rings. The judge got to examine her on the table without being knocked out by a wet nose shooting puppy kisses. Brie moved and stayed in place and I enjoyed every second of handling my dog.
Ms. Giura really liked Brie, but being on heat Brie's ears were a bit too light for the day and the judge placed us second with a prize of honour to go with it. I am so proud of my black diamond and I am really looking forward to attend more shows with her in the future.

"May be at the superior limit of the standard, but typical and elegant. Correct proportions of the head. Scissor bite. Strong bones. Well angulated. Good colour and coat. Very promising."
Della was not to her advantage. She is not at all comfortable with indoor shows. They are too noisy and too crowded and make Della turn into a very insecure individual. In the ring it looked like Della has got no ears at all and she moved very cautiously. I did not succeed at all in getting Della into a more relaxed mood and therefore I did not expect more than perhaps a VG (Very Good) from Ms. Giura.
Though Della is not pleased with a particular situation she always performs and I can usually trust in her. So I did and I was quite overwhelmed when the judge gave Della the judgement EXC (Excellent). It was so much more than I had expected.

Brie ja Della kehässä.
En usko, että olen koskaan jännittänyt näyttelyä en edes agilitykilpailua näin paljon. Tiedän että se on typerää koska en voi pakottaa tuomaria pitämään koirastani tai vaikuttaa hänen mielipiteeseensä. Voin vain esittää koirani parhaalla mahdollisella tavalla kehässä jotta saisimme hyvän arvostelun.
Brien vähäinen kehäkokemus hermostutti minua hieman. Miten "rakkaushirviöni" käyttäytyisi pöydällä? Aikoisiko hän tukehduttaa tuomarin pentusuudelmillaan? Entä miten hän liikkuisi - kahdella vaiko neljällä tassulla? Ei ole helppoa pennun kanssa joka rakastaa elämää ja kaikkea siinä. Toisaalta nuo ongelmat eivät ole ongelmia, vain posiitivista voimaa joka pitää osata ohjata oikeaan suuntaan.
Tuomarina oli ruova Anca Giura Romaniasta. Perusteellinen ja mukava nainen josta pidin paljon. Brie osallistui pentuluokkaan ja Della avoimeen luokkaan pari tuntia myöhemmin.
Brie yllätti minut käytöksellään esiintyen kuin olisi aina ollut kehässä. Tuomari sai tutkia hänet pöydällä ilman että olisi tullut tyrmätyksi märällä kuonolla ja pentusuudelmilla. Brie pysyi paikoillaan ja nautin esittämisestä joka hetki.
Rouva Giura todella piti Briestä, mutta alkavat juoksut aiheutti sen, että korvat olivat hieman liian kevyet ja tuomari sijoitti hänet toiseksi ja antoi kunniapalkinnon. Olen todella ylpeä mustasta timantistani ja odotan innolla uusia näyttelyitä tulevaisuudessa.

Della ei ollut ollenkaan edukseen. Hän ei viihdy sisänäyttelyissä. Ne ovat liian meluisia ja ahtaita ja saavat Dellan erittäin epävarmaksi. Kehässä hän näyttää kuin ei olisi korvia ollenkaan ja hän liikkuu erittäin varovaisesti. En onnistunut saamaa Dellaa paremmalle tuulelle enkä odottanut rouva Giuralta parempaa arvostelua kuin EH.
Vaikka Della ei ollutkaan tyytyväinen tilanteeseen, hän esiintyy hyvin ja häneen voi luottaa. Niinpä luotin siihen ja olin erittäin tyytyväinen kun tuomari antoi Dellalle ERI:n. Se oli paljon enemmän kuin odotin.
