06.05. Non-Official Obedience Trial Part 2 / Möllitoko Osa 2

A couple of weeks ago we challenged our team again and went for our second non-official obedience trial.  These kind of trials are such great training events and you and your dog get a feeling of real competing.  The difference between a real trial and a non-official one is that you are allowed to reward your dog between or during the exercises, you may correct a movement or redo it and if needed, you can ask the judge for advice.  The atmosphere is nice and usually very relaxed.

This time it was Brie's turn to shine.  I am so very satisfied with her and her energy level in the obedience field.  Brie's highlight was definitely her heel work, which was excellent.  For a change Brie also showed she can stay in place for a minute without getting crazy due to being bored.  We scored 181 points out of 200 and came in second of seven dogs in the Novice Class.

Kuura did also very well.  Pasi scored 174 points with her this time, which would have been a fully approved amount of points in an official trial in the Novice Class.  The limit for approval is 160 points.

Della on the other hand had a less good day in the Open Class compared to the previous trial in April.  We made a few stupid mistakes in a couple of exercises and lost too many points for an approved outcome.  We scored 241 points and if it had been an official trial we should need at least 256 as a minimum.  So there's no shortcut, only more training.

Pari viikkoa sitten tiimimme testasi jälleen itseään osallistumalla toisiin epävirallisiin toko-kisoihin.  Tällaiset tapahtumat ovat loistavaa harjoitusta ja sekä ohjaaja että koira saavat kilpailutuntumaa.  Virallisen ja epävirallisen kokeen erona on, että tässä saat palkata koiraasi liikkeiden välissä, saat korjata liikkeitä tai tehdä uudestaan ja tarvittaessa, voit kysyä neuvoja tuomarilta.  Ilmapiiri on mukava ja usein rento.

Täällä kertaa oli Brien vuoro loistaa.  Olen niin tyytyväinen siihen ja sen energiatasoon tottelevaisuuskentällä.  Brien ehdottomasti parasta osaamista oli sen seuraaminen mikä oli erinomaista.  Vaihteeksi Brie myös pysyi paikalla makuussa minuutin kyllästymättä ja villiintymättä.  Saavutimme 181 pistettä 200 pisteestä ja sijoitus toinen seitsemästä alokasluokan koirasta.

Kuura suoriutui myös hyvin.  Pasi ja Kuura saivat 174 pistettä, pistemäärä olisi riittänyt alokasluokan ykköstulokseen.  Ykköstuloksen pisteraja on 160 pistetttä.

Dellalla taas oli tällä kertaa vähemmän hyvä päivä avoimessa luokassa verrattuna huhtikuun kisaan.  Teimme muutamia tyhmiä virheitä parissa liikeessä ja menetimme liikaa pisteitä saadakseen ykköstuloksen.  Saimme kasaan 241 pistettä kun virallisissa ykköstulokseen tarvitaan vähintään 256 pistettä.  Siispä lyhyesti, lisää harjoitusta.
